Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 9am – 5pm.

In the event of a life-threatening medical emergency, call emergency medical services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Inform the emergency room staff that you are a patient of Dr. Ivo Alonso, and they will contact us.

If you have an urgent medical need and want to talk to a member of our medical staff after our regular hours, please call our office at (305) 448-7499. A member of our medical personnel is on-call 24 hours a day. Your call will be returned promptly.

At the office of Dr. Ivo Alonso, we accept most major insurance plans, Medicaid, and Medicare. Please contact our office at (305) 448-7499 to find out if we accept your plan.

If your insurance plan requires you to pay a co-payment, co-insurance, and/or a deductible, you will need to pay at the time of your visit. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks, Visa, and MasterCard. Payment plans are also available.

If your insurance requires a referral for specialist visits, Dr. Alonso and his staff would be happy to help you with the referral process at the time of your visit. Referrals are usually available within 48-72 hours. If you have any questions on the referral process, feel free to ask us.

Prescriptions and refills for established patients of Dr. Alonso are routinely issued during our regular office hours (see above). You can make your request by calling our office at (305) 448-7499.

Refills are generally not issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as the doctors may not have access to all your medical records during those times. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.
